Thomas F. Flemmig, Dr. med. dent. habil, M.B.A.
Dr. Flemmig earned his dental degree at the University of Freiburg, Germany and received training in Oral Surgery at the University of Hamburg and in Periodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles, CA (UCLA). He holds a Dr. med. dent. degree from the University of Freiburg, a Dr. med. dent. habil. degree (German PhD in Medical Dentistry) from the University of Würzburg, and an MBA from Duke University, Durham, NC; he is board certified in Periodontics in Germany. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontology, University of Würzburg (1996 to 1999) and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Periodontology, University of Münster (1999 to 2005), both in Germany. In June of 2005 Dr. Flemmig was appointed Professor and Chairman and Schluger Endowed Chair of the Department of Periodontics, University of Washington, Seattle, WA.
Dr Thomas Beikler, Dr. med., Dr. med. dent. habil.
Dr. Beikler is a board certified Periodontist (Germany) and holds an active unlimited medical and dental license in Germany. Following his military service he received his medical and dental education at the Universities of Munich and Wuerzburg, respectively. He earned a Dr. med. and a Dr. med. dent. degree from those Universities and a Dr. med. dent. habil. degree (Ph.D.-equivalent) from the University of Muenster, Germany, where he also received his periodontal specialty training. Prior to his relocation to Seattle he served as Associate Professor and Assistant Director in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Muenster and taught at the predoctoral and graduate level. Dr. Beikler currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Periodontics. In his spare time, Dr. Beikler enjoys reading and outdoor activities with his wife and three daughters.
