Grading and Examination

This is a graded course.  Grades will be assigned based on three components:

1.      20% of the grade will be based on performance in the laboratory class, mainly on the documentation of experiments in the lab notebook or folder.

2.   10% of the grade will derive from the Bioinformatics exercise, which the students will be required to do in their own time. A one hour lecture during the class will introduce the students to relevant Bioinformatics programs and different methods of sequence analysis.

3.   There will be a 90 minute examination on the last day of the course (Friday July 21) consisting of a short answer exam.  This will be 70% of the final grade.
