This 50-page report tracks 12 indicators that offer a snapshot of how well Washington state's health system is doing in providing accessible, efficient and high quality services. The indicators are grouped to respond to the following three questions:
- Are people in Washington getting the services they need?
- Do people have health insurance?
- Where does the money for health services come from?

HPAP prepared this 8-page briefing paper for a Safe Table Legislators Forum held in December. The paper gives a succinct overview of six common strategies states are using to resolve Medicaid budget constraints. Current and proposed strategies for Washington are highlighted. Presentations from the forum are also available on HPAP's web site.
