Personal Injury in the Workplace

1. Life Threatening Emergencies

In the event of a life threatening emergency Call 9-911. These calls are answered by University Police who will assist in contacting Medic-I. Be prepared to provide information related to the nature and exact location of the emergency.

2. Other Injuries

Staff, faculty, and students who are injured on the job should do the following for any non-life-threatening injury which does not involve an exposure to another person's blood or saliva:

  • Notify supervisor;

  • Employees and students report to Hall Health Center; and

  • Complete an accident/incident report. The accident/incident form may be obtained from the Office of Clinical Affairs. Return the original of the form to Environmental Health and Safety, Box 354400. The pink and yellow copies should be returned to the Office of Clinical Affairs, B-426.
