Exposure Control Manual

Exposure Determination

The following table lists the job classifications of employees who the School of Dentistry identifies as those who can reasonably anticipate occupational exposure of their skin, mucosa, eye, or parenteral contact with blood and other potential infectious substances such as saliva and any body fluid visibly contaminated with blood. Such "exposure prone" individuals are identified as those with "anticipated occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (microorganisms which can cause disease).

A current listing (as of January 3, 1995) of School of Dentistry "exposure prone" employees and students is provided in Appendix A.
