Financial Aid Information

To qualify for financial aid at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be admitted to the University in a degree granting program, provide financial information (including parent's information and signatures where required), demonstrate financial need, not be in default on a previous student loan or owe a repayment on a grant, and be making satisfactory progress toward a degree.

All students who anticipate a need for financial aid should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is the basic application for most types of financial aid. You will file as an independent student and you may either file electronically or fill out a paper FAFSA. In order to file your FAFSA electronically, you will need a PIN number from the Department of Education. Paper FAFSA's are available from the Office of Student Financial Aid in Schmitz Hall.

Your FAFSA must be received by the federal application processor by the University's deadline: February 28th of each year. To insure timely receipt, we recommend that you mail this form or send it electronically no later than February 15th, of each year. Please make a copy of your FAFSA before mailing it. If you are submitting electronically, print the final screen that indicates your FAFSA was completed successfully. You must list the University of Washington in Section H. Our financial aid code is #003798. If you miss the FAFSA filing deadline your options for financial aid will be reduced, so file on time!
