Lockers and Mailboxes

Mailboxes and lockers are the property of the School of Dentistry and assigned by the Office of Student Life and Admissions. Lockers are located in a number of different areas in the B, D, and C wings.  Generally, in order to be in close proximity to the D 1 Clinic, first year and second year lockers will be located in either the D 1 or D -1 (minus 1) hallway.  However, due to space limitations a few students may be assigned elswhere.  Beginning in third year, most students will be assigned to locker rooms located in the C wing located a few feet beyond the B wing.

Students are required to vacate all loaned storage areas at the time of graduation, when they leave the program, or upon any request made by School administration..

WREB Exam (clinical) and National Board Dental Exams (written)

Official National WREB Exam Website

UW SoD WREB Preparation Resources

The WREB examinations were developed to provide reliable clinical assessments for state licensing agencies to use in making valid licensing decisions. WREB examination results are accepted by dental and dental hygiene licensing agencies in more than 30 states.

WREB examinations have been developed, administered, and reviewed in accordance with applicable guidelines from the American Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Examiners, the American Psychological Association, the National Council on Measurement in Education, and the American Educational Research Association.

National Board Dental Exam Part I and Part II

The Office of Student Life and Admissions coordinates the application process for the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) Part I and Part II.  Information will be provided to students during the second and third years regarding registration procedures and deadlines.

The purpose of the National Board Dental Examination is to assist state boards in determining qualifications of dentists who seek licensure to practice dentistry. The examination assesses the ability to understand important information from basic biomedical and dental sciences and also the ability to apply such information in a problem-solving context.

Although written examinations may be developed at the local level, most licensing boards use the National Board Dental Examination (Parts I & II) as a major portion of their written examination requirement. Currently, all 53 United States licensing jurisdictions recognize National Board results. These jurisdictions include all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands of the United States.
