This course is designed for dentists, hygienists and dental assistants, and is a follow-up to Jim's Digital Dental Photography class.

*Refunds for CDE participation courses must be requested at least 14 days prior to the first meeting of a course. All participation courses have a $100 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is necessary to cover the cost of materials that are incurred which are non-refundable to our office. If a cancellation is made less than 14 days before a course, no monetary refund will be given, and the money can not be transferred to another course, unless the CDE office is able to occupy the spot with another participant. Funds, minus the $100 non-refundable deposit, may be transferred to another course within the same CDE calendar year if the request is made 14 days before the course.

Course Description:

This hands-on course is designed to address the common question of what to do with pictures after they are taken. Participants will work along with the instructor to learn how to put together a great case presentation to show patients, or to present to a study club, using Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint.

This course is designed as a follow-up to Jim’s “Digital Dental Photography” course.

Course Objectives - As a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:

  • Begin using Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop and see how they relate to dentistry
  • Create a case presentation with transitions and animation
  • Master the basics of image manipulation using Adobe Photoshop to resize, color correct, and enhance digital photos

Course Instructor:

JAMES CLARK has been teaching dental photography to graduate students in all the specialty programs at the UW School of Dentistry since 1980. He has lectured both nationally and internationally, and has contributed photographs to numerous textbooks, scientific publications and research projects. Now retired, Mr. Clark continues to work with all of the UW School of Dentistry graduate and undergraduate dental students.

Lunch Selection:

All meals are accompanied by a dessert and bottled water. Sandwiches come with a side salad, and salads come with rustic artisan bread.

DEFAULT: Turkey Sandwich: roasted turkey breast, cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo.

Roasted Veggie Sandwich: hummus with roasted seasonal veggies such as: eggplant, red peppers and mushrooms, cucumber and roasted garlic-basil spread.

Mediterranean Chicken Salad: sliced, roasted chicken breast, tomato wedges, feta, cucumbers and kalamata olives over romaine lettuce. Citrus vinaigrette.

*Note: If we have not received your specified request by Friday, March 6, the default option - Turkey Sandwich - will be ordered for you.
