Course Description:

This fast moving and enjoyable course will provide quick and easy tools for you to use back at the office in order to increase profits through the use of improved pricing structures based on knowing exactly what the insurance company will pay, and compared against what other doctors in your area are charging per code. Come away with tips on how to better use the newest CDT 2007 codes with special attention paid to some of the changes, especially those related to prophies, multiple prophies, soft tissue management, and hygiene/periodontics. Learn the secrets of using medical claim codes that are payable to dentists for increased payment, such as many related to hygiene and perio, as well as some common general practice treatments. We will discuss the business of dentistry and show how to increase your profits for the whole office – the hygiene department especially. Go home knowing how to use the tools and rules of successful insurance management so you really can implement these improvements.

Course Objectives - As a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:

  • Explain why policies are paid at different percentiles and what that means to your coding and billing procedures
  • Communicate easily and correctly with your patients concerning their insurance coverage
  • Collect the accurate co-pay up-front at the time of service, and with less resistance
  • Learn enough medical coding to get the staff a raise and make the doctor wish that the office had been using medical codes for years.
