Course Description:
Have you ever wondered why pediatric dentists love their work so much? Would the idea of seeing 50 children each day sound like your worst nightmare come true? Come to this engaging program and discover why children are not only easy to manage, but fun as well. Techniques for handling pediatric dental patients are covered (some with video footage), as well as specific techniques for altering negative behaviors, such as needle-phobia and gagging. This program helps attendees understand the child's view-point in the dental setting. Included is a discussion on how to effectively help parents become a part of the success of the child's experience rather than a detriment.

GREGORY L. PSALTIS has been a pediatric dentist for 25 years in private practice in Olympia, Washington. He received his dental degree and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of California at San Francisco. He is well published including several articles in Dental Economics and participates in volunteer dental projects in Cabo San Lucas ad Zihuatanejo, Mexico. He lectures frequently on various dental topics. His unique speaking style reflects his years of experience and his keen observations, thus making his programs both informative and entertaining.
