Section VII. Voting Faculty

The voting members of the faculty of the School of Dentistry are those holding the rank of:

  1. Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.
  2. Instructors, Lecturers, and Senior Lecturers who have appointments of 50% and above.
  3. Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor without tenure by reason of funding.
  4. A retired Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor during quarter(s) s/he is serving on a part-time basis.
  5. For Purposes of School of Dentistry Committee elections and voting on internal affairs of the School of Dentistry except as restricted by the University Handbook, Research and Clinical Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors shall have voting privileges.

    The following are not voting members of the faculty:

    1. Persons serving under acting, visiting, affiliate, or adjunct appointments.
    2. Persons serving under post-doctoral research associate appointments.
    3. Persons on leave of absence.
